I seem to have been neglecting this post more than anything else..

now.. its finally the second year of uni..

it seems so.. different from the first..

I don't really know how to describe the difference..

maybe its the people i've met..

maybe its me having a job and studying at the same time..

maybe its just because i'm more used to staying here now..

or maybe I just don't care that much anymore.. haha..

speaking of which.. i need more sleep..

reading week wasn't spectacular..

could have done with a little bit of travelling..

but instead.. spent most of the week in bed.. :x..

can't wait for the christmas break now..

definitely want to travel..

new goal for this week..

plan my trip(s) and book the tickets..

hhhheeeeelllllloooooo !!! to all who even bothers to come every now and then to have a look if I update this wierd blog.. hahaha !

well.. it's been 3 months since the last time i posted anything here..
and since the last time, loads of things happened..

first, academically.. for the present moment..
2% away from passing my organisational behaviour because the teacher deemed that I did not answer the question.. tmd..
top in level for econs with 90%..
top in level for english with 91 and 93 for listening and reading (dont remember which is which), 71 for writing and 80 for speaking..
top in level for a module called developing business skill with 82 where theres a coursework which we have to write about ourselves and goals and aims and stuff..
top in level for business with 91.5 for the time being as the teacher grades our seminars..
94 for spreadsheet test.. didnt get top coz someone else got 100..
89 for accounting.. not top as well because there are those who have learnt and practiced for the past dont know how many donkey years..

well.. thats about it for now.. hahaha..
the grades are only a small portion of the final mark but i think it gives a good indication of how i'm doing.. hahaha
i know 80 something is very low.. but the teachers here niao until bth..
die die also cannot give more than 80..
the culture here is almost as if if you get more than 80.. you have divine powers.. or something..
anyway the top in level for english is shit.. most people here cant even speak english.. or understand what i'm saying..
so much for screwing up a levels and ending up in a school catered to international students who cant speak proper english..
how i wish i can say that i did not take a 14 hour flight paying these expensive school fees to get grades that are higher than everyone else...
but i'll be lying if i were to say that i'm not enjoying it though... hahaha

non-academic wise..
went to amsterdam and edinburgh over christmas.. explored a little bit of london and cambridge..
dont like london.. its messy.. the subways are crowded and tiny and squeezy..
overall.. its just chaotic..
amsterdam and edinburgh was nice.. go to facebook if you want any photos..
cambridge was just so-so..

easter is coming ! going paris and glasgow.. hahaha.. =)
it's so nice to have a singapore passport.. i can travel to anywhere in europe without having to get a visa..
that probably explains why i prefer to travel alone..
coz i cant really be bothered to wait for those from a particular country that starts with a c to consider whether they should apply for visa..
or maybe it doesnt really explain.. perhaps im just a loner.. hahaha..
perhaps i just cant be bothered with asking others.. or maybe i dont like having people tagging along..
maybe its just the freedom..

have I mentioned how freaking expensive everything here is ?
was talking to this other malaysian guy just now..
to think that a chinese meal here would prob set me back around 10 pounds..
that's 10 packets of nasi lemak !
oh man.. i kinda miss home..
am a little bit tired of this place already..
and i'm sure ill hate the weather when i go back.. =X

it will be soon before i can go back home.. 3 more months !!
am laying out plans for the near future now.. pray everything will turn out well..

Hello !

It's been ages since I last updated. So I kinda just figured out perhaps I should do something before cobwebs start to take over the place.. =)

I think I'm just gonna go through the past few weeks bit by bit..

blogger's a bitch though.. it's taking forever to load my photos.. hahaha..

Let's start from the beginning.. before leaving Singapore..

I was doing a week's worth of relief teaching at a certain secondary school in Sengkang..

was supposed to teach Social Studies and History..

History didn't actually go very well.. haha..

since I did not have any knowledge of it beforehand..

but social studies was kinda like a breeze..

there was this big stack of worksheets that greeted me..

supposed to give it to the students everyday for the whole week...

couldn't take it anymore halfway through and helped them to go through stuff required for their tests that week.. haha..

hope they didn't fail because of me though.. hahaha..

not to mention their o lvls are like.. real soon..

anyway.. their classroom is really nice ! hahaha..

didn't get a seat in the staff room because it wasn't very convenient for their original teacher to be walking up and down.. so.. let me show you guys how their classroom looked !

it's kind of a very interesting period though.. hahaha..

but the timing is a little too tight to my liking..

it's like I'm still teaching even on the day of my flight !

Now.. onto the day of the flight..

I think it's like one of the not so sad goodbyes you guys have had in quite some time isn't it..

ahaha.. but.. thanks to all who came.. =) .. will see you guys really soon I guess..

Nothing interesting about the day of the flight though..

My baggage went over by 5kg but they let me off.. phew..

very very long journey to Amsterdam and then subsequently to Norwich..

I was sooo tired that I practically slept throughout the flight..

and I'm really irritated that I missed dinner !!

I heard that KLM's dinner is really really nice..

ate breakfast on the flight though.. very pleasing..

I would say that it's prob better than SIA.. but..

I can't judge.. because the last time I took SIA was like very very long ago..

so.. no comparisons there !

Reached Amsterdam.. and was really really gutted that there's no free wifi access...

everything needs to be paid for.. and everything else is like very expensive..

bought a couple of drink, TIME magazine and a slice of pizza (a really big one actually)..

a pity that I didn't take pictures of it though..

spent around 3 hours before getting on the flight over to Norwich..

It was a really pleasant surprise.. took this tiny aircraft from Amsterdam to Norwich..

and it's really really scary..

there was this period where we met with turbulence..

it felt like the aircraft was dropping out of the sky..

and.. we are all so used to planes having engines...

that tiny aircraft I took.. had propellers ! omg..

hahaha.. well.. eye-opener...

Norwich airport is rather small..

there's like only two counters for immigration..

and only one counter was used for that day..

the taxi ride to university was wonderful... and expensive..

hahaha.. first impression of Norwich ?

totally different from Singapore..

here.. it's peaceful.. and quiet... (except for those drunk people..)

and the scenery is really nice.. grasslands and stuff..

compared to the concrete jungle in Singapore..

will continue another day.. my pictures are still not loaded.. zzz..

4 more weeks ! hahaha !

i'm so ready to leave.. everything is almost done up..

after working for so long.. earned quite abit.. but spent quite abit as well..

hhmmm.. anyway.. i bought a new camera !

Samsung WB1000 !

I know many of you are gonna go.. what ?! samsung ?!

but i think its a good camera..

considering that it has alot of features that you can never find in a normal point and shoot camera..

it has a full manual mode.. allowing for control on aperture and shutter speed..

not to mention the focal distant blah blah blah..

24mm lens.. 5 times zoom..

im rather please with the purchase.. =)

now... got my computer.. my camera..

now i need to start looking for a phone.. hhmmm..

winter wear's settled and bought an adidas jacket too..

gotta get some more clothes and also gloves and stuff..

aarrgg... money's never enough.. and work is getting crappier..

speaking of computer.. i got so irritated that my pc hanged the other day..

i just plugged in my ipod to charge.. and it hanged..

while my mac is happily sitting here charging my camera, running skype, messenger..

while im toggling between surfing the net and watching red cliff.. and its running fine !

so.. i just went to take out the 8 recovery discs and just reformatted my pc.. hahaha

im starting to like mac.. not gonna change to windows anytime soon..

considering that its so simple to use.. for example.. uploading of pictures to facebook..

the facebook uploader is crap.. but i use iphoto... its so much simpler !

all i have to do is to insert my memory card into the my mac..

the computer senses the photos inside.. iphoto loads up.. select the photos i want to transfer..

upon the completion of transfer into my com.. click on the facebook button..

and everything will be up in facebook tucked inside a photo album !

owells.. its 11.30pm.. time for bed.. work tmr again.. zzz...

its only a mnth and a half more before i get away from singtel !

hahaha.. im really tired of working already..

cant wait for august to come.. and then september ! =)

i think i will definitely stop working wef 8 sept..

anyway.. attended the pre-departure briefing yesterday at suntec..

basically.. not alot of information though.. but at least i did smth useful..

got a phone number for use in UK already !

my number will be +44 07501709527 with effect from 19 sept 2009.. =)

dont have any plans for the current number now though..

still wondering if i should keep it.. hhmmm..

im more or less done with everything alr..

now im just waiting for my accomodation to be confirmed,

buy a few more clothes and some winter wear..

and then im good to go.. not forgetting a camera too.. hhmm.

does anybody know where i can get winter wear in singapore?

not too expensive and not too lousy that kind..

i know people have been saying to go over to uk and buy..

but i dont want to take the risk.. buy one here in singapore first..

finished harry potter and the deathly hallows yesterday after the briefing..

met up with the pa people and parted and went for dinner at airport..

breeks cafe is really not bad.. and also tcc ! hahahaha

yesterday was a sinful day and also made a small hole in our pockets.. hahaha..

on friday was a terrible day..

went back for a supposedly briefing and had to attend some stupid parade..

not surprising considering which organization is actually in charge..

kinda dumb.. and im glad i wouldnt be having to go back for the nxt 3 years..

f1 is starting.. have to go to work again tmr.. zzz..

cant wait cant wait.. 8 sept and then 18 sept.. hhmm..
